At Shackletons, we have been designing and manufacturing high seat chairs and upholstered furniture for seniors and disabled individuals since 1959.

Shackletons furniture is designed specifically for seniors. We understand the requirements of our customers; we design furniture that is stylish, comfortable and practical.

We are a family-owned business which today employs over 100 people in design, manufacture and retail.

Handmade In England

We are proud of our Yorkshire heritage. Our talented craftsmen and craftswomen use time-honoured skills to cut, sew and upholster each piece of furniture to the highest quality at our factory in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire.

Our retail showroom is in Batley, West Yorkshire - just a few miles from our factory.

Shackletons Retail

Shackletons Retail is focussed on providing expert advice and support to help our customers find the right chair, sofa or adjustable bed for their needs.

Alongside Shackletons, high seat chairs, and furniture, we are an authorised retailer for Celebrity and Sherbourne riser recliners chairs and sofas. We are also offer a wide range of adjustable beds, low-profiling beds and adjustable mattresses from high-quality UK manufacturers.

All furniture made and sold by Shackletons is made in the UK. So you can be assured, our furniture is of the highest quality and manufactured to the highest standards.

We want to make sure that the furniture you are buying is fit for your needs now and in the future. We have over 60 years’ experience in providing comfort and support, and our knowledgeable team are on-hand to offer expert advice and guidance to you and your family.

We can offer advice in-store at our retail showroom in Batley, by phone as well as a free home consultation service where we can bring a selection of products for you to try in the comfort of own home.
